Here is a recording of Aaron Fornarino speaking at our January 2018 Sanctuary meeting about his life with BPD and his subsequent recovery.

Aaron has experienced so much of what many of our family members experience, and behaved in a way that is very similar to many consumers diagnosed with BPD. He left home early, was a prior ward of the State, living in government residential facilities for troubled youths and was estranged from his parents. He was also in and out of the criminal justice and mental health systems for a number of years.

Yet this young man is now working full-time, studying a legal degree part-time and is well on the way to becoming a lawyer.

He has made peace with his family and is a dedicated father, as well as advocating for better BPD treatment.
