Psychologist Clark Sim spoke at our February meeting, about what Schema Therapy is, defective negative schemas that can create mental health issues and how schema therapy tries to change negative self perceptions (schemas).

Schema Therapy is one of a few therapies that are used to help people diagnosed with BPD. While DBT is the therapy mst commonly used, Schema therapy is a more gentle therapy as I understand it, and some of our members have had family members who have been helped by psychologists using it.
