Repairing Relationships
Living with the symptoms of BPD is difficult and often this manifests in ruptured relationships.
At Sanctuary in January, we watched this video by Nancy and Nina, a mother-daughter team, talking about their experience with BPD and its effect on their relationship:

Their story is familiar to most BPD Carers:
self destructive behaviour, self harm, ruptured relationships, downward spiral, disrupted lives. They reached a point of despair, unable to find effective help. Their relationship had broken down and they were suffering immensely.
Yet they managed to find a way to reconnect, to repair their relationship and start along the path to recovery.
Nancy and Nina shared their remarkable journey at the 17th Yale-NEABPD Conference 2022, with mental health providers, researchers, individuals with BPD and their family members
