Our next Sanctuary meeting will be on Tuesday, June 8, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm (South Australian time) at 2 Karrayarta Drive, Glenside. BPD Carers can attend in person or on-line.
Our Speaker will be Joy Anasta. Joy is a very experienced counsellor and understands very well the things that carers of someone with a mental illness (especially BPD) cope with.
Her topic will be “How our grief informs our caring”
Joy understands well that as carers we suffer grief, guilt, anger and we often feel helpless as to how best support the person we love and care for. We want to keep them safe and set boundaries, yet we don’t want to make any pain they suffer with this illness worse.
Come and hear what Joy has to say about how we can best help our loved ones, while keeping our own mental health intact!
Joy is a natural speaker. She may be controversial at times, and make you think (and maybe, in the moment, disagree) but I assure you, you will not be bored.
All meetings are free. Sanctuary is entirely run by volunteers.
We appreciate a gold coin donation for incidentals such as gifts to visiting speakers.
